As I sat down to type this, I had every intention of calling this something other than a Week In Smoke – even though that is precisely what it is. I’ve been out of the game long enough that picking up Brian Hewitt’s Week In Smoke torch and running with it seemed a bit out of place. I played around with a few other post titles but none of them felt right. So here we are with Walt’s Week In …
I’ve been slacking quite a bit with posting these Week in Smoke. It’s been a busy time as I’ve somehow become my son’s soccer coach so my cigar time has been shortened quite a bit. I have managed to get a few cigars in here and there so let’s take a look at what I’ve managed to get in during the week.
The Punch Diablo is a new line extension that is a collaboration with AJ Fernandez …
It’s been quite awhile since I last published a Week In Smoke so I figured, after our small vacation after IPCPR, now is a great time to start them back up again. Here is a list of some of the cigars I’ve smoked over the past week or so. Some are some old favorites and some are new. These are not reviews on the cigars, but just my quick thoughts on them.
These have always …
It’s time once again for another issue of Brian’s The Week In Smoke. In case this is your first Week in Smoke, be advised that it covers many (though not necessarily all) of the cigars I’ve smoked in the past week (or the past month, or however long it has been since the last issue), along with a couple of quick thoughts that came to me at the time. These are not full cigar reviews, but quick blurbs based …

It’s been a busy week getting ready for the holidays, but at least I was able to get in several cigars during this time. I tried to smoke some new stuff or stuff that I haven’t had in quite awhile. I was lucky that none of the cigars I smoked were duds and even some really good. Without further ado, here is my weekly list.
This was an old throwback for me. I smoked a …
It’s been quite awhile since I did a Week in Smoke; a year actually. It’s about time that I did another one. I’m going to try to do these once a week or at least every other week as I know everyone seems to like these posts from Brian and I. For those that haven’t read one of our Week in Smokes before, its just a list of things we have smoked during the past week or two with our …
A lot has happened since the last time I did The Week In Smoke. There was a tradeshow or two (less than five, certainly), the weather started to cool off again (sorta), people started putting pumpkin spice in inappropriate places (mouths, mostly), and we started doing numerical ratings here on Stogie Review (terrifying, but this is a safe space). It’s hard to keep up with it all. So I’ve done the only thing I know how to do, smoke as …
We’re coming up on my favorite time of the year for cigars- trade show season. It’s also a really busy time. A lot of back and forth emails discussing appointment times on the floor of the trade show. That and increased activity with other projects haven’t left a lot of time to set up a proper cigar review. But that’s OK. I’ve been picking up and smoking a lot of interesting one offs lately (though unfortunately not the Illusione OneOff …
