Win a signed box of Don Gonzales Corojo

Its been forever since we have done a contest on Stogie Review. In fact, I think the last serious contest we have done, excluding the five packs Jerry gives away from time to time, was our First Annual 12 Days of Christmas all the way back in December.
That is all going to change today, because I have a signed box of Don Gonzales Corojo, courtesy of Duque Cigars, for one lucky winner. Entries into the contest are simple, …

Cigar Wallpapers – Round 2

The last week has been very busy for me and I’ve been spending a lot of time running from one place to the next. As a result, I wasn’t able to find the time to record my regular review and had to push it off a day. Pushing it off a day left us with an opening for today and I wasn’t sure what to fill it with.
I had some great suggestions come in via Twitter, but I …
Factual Cigar Database
Back in June I got an email from Grant over at Factual. In the email Grant introduced himself and described Factual as the “Wikipedia of Data“. He told me that he stumbled onto Stogie Review and liked what he saw. As a result, he invited me to have a look at the beta site.
What I found when I received my invite from Grant was a cigar database in the works. It listed any brand that data could …
2009 European Cigar Cult Journal Awards

While Jerry and I were doing our thing at IPCPR (read: wandering around the convention center floor), we bumped into Colin Ganley of the European Cigar Cult Journal. We talked for a bit and he was kind enough to extend us an invitation to the ECCJ Awards.
The awards were being held in the Hilton Hotel, which is in the building next to the Convention Center. With the event so close, we planned on putting a full day …

IPCPR 2009 Photo Stream
While Jerry, Brian, and I were attending the 2009 IPCPR Convention in New Orleans, we set ourselves up with a few loose roles. Jerry manned the video camera, while Brian and I manned our cameras. Brian was focusing on taking photos while Jerry and I both had equipment for both still and video, which we planned to swap back and forth with.
Along the way I picked up video duty and never pulled my camera back out of my backpack. …
ISO Cigars

A little ways back I was on the Cigar Outcast forum poking around like I normally do a few times per week and I came across mention of a new cigar site. What set this site apart was that it wasn’t like many of the other cigar sites out there, this one was geared towards the cigar collectors out there.
Before I tell you what it is, first follow me along this path so that you may see the usefulness …
Twitter Brother of the Leaf Cocktail Hour
A couple of weeks back, Jerry posted an article about a Herf that Stogie Review and Hava Cigars were throwing while in New Orleans. The idea was to get everyone from Twitter together while we were all in town for IPCPR and have a drink and smoke a few cigars.
While getting everything setup as far as location and time, a few manufacturers were contacted and they were generous enough to provide each attendee with a new cigar from the …
ECCJ 15th Anniversary Cigar By Altadis

Back in New Orleans, Brian and I bumped into Colin Ganley. Colin writes for the European Cigar Cult Journal (ECCJ) and was kind enough to invite us to the annual awards ceremony. After being given our invitations, Colin removed a cigar from his pocket and asked us to break the story.
We immediately posted pictures and a couple of quick notes via Twitter, but due to internet trouble at my hotel, I was unable to post a proper post until …
