Illusione Epernay Le Monde (Joint Review)

The Following Post comes courtesy of
Tom from Tom’s Cigars

It’s been awhile, but Ed and I are back home on the Stogie Review. Where were we? Well, Ed has been busy moving his shop into a new lot, expanding his inventory, and building a cigar lounge. Some of you already know that I’ve been over on my own site slacking off. Ed and I figured it would only be fitting mark our return and do a joint review with …

Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend

Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend

Today I have for you a review of the Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend in the Robusto Grande size. I did this as a short review since Walt reviewed this same cigar back in 2007 and I wanted to see if I would get the same things as he did and to see if there were any changes in the cigar since almost 4 years ago.

I hope you enjoy the video and it may go better with a glass of …

Mike’s 1 Year Ramblings

Figured I would throw my ramblings on video for you all to see and hear about my first year with Stogie Review.

Nothing groundbreaking here but this was a hell of a lot easier than doing a review LOL

I would say the first thing I take notice of in this Dos Familias cigar is just …

Nicks Sticks Sun Grown – Churchill

Wrapper : Nicaraguan
Binder : Nicaraguan
Filler : Nicaraguan
Source : local store with my wife’s money

Cigar

Well everything that could go wrong, did in this video. Short and sweet writeup for you.

Cigar was pretty much the same the whole way. I got a slight spice along with a natural tobacco flavor and a bit of molasses mixed in.

I liked this stick better than the maduro but still nothing I would buy boxes of.

I did get …

Tatuaje Anarchy

Tatuaje Anarchy

It doesn’t matter who was first to review the Tatuaje Anarchy, all that matters is who does it best (thats what she said). I’m sure by now you’ve seen plenty of reviews of the Tatuaje Anarchy from a bunch of other cigar sites and forums out there. The details are no longer a mystery so I won’t rehash the backstory here and will let the cigar speak for itself.

Video runs a bit over 10 minutes and I have …

Nick’s Sticks Maduro – Churchill

Nick’s Sticks Maduro – Churchill

Wrapper : Nicaraguan Maduro
Binder : Nicaraguan
Filler : Nicaraguan
Source : local store with my wife’s money

Pre-Light

Welcome to this week’s review of the Nick’s Sticks Maduro churchill. This cigar has some fun history and you should head over to Perdomo’s website to take a gander.

Looking over this cigar I see a mostly rustic appearance with a couple bumps all around and a few veins. For some reason it just looks like a nice cigar. Even though …

La Aurora Corojo

La Aurora Corojo

No disrespect to the other cigars released by Miami Cigar Company at IPCPR this year but I’ve been telling anyone who will listen that the La Aurora Corojo is probably the best of the bunch. It was announced with little fanfare and hid in the shadows of the Guillermo Leon Signature, Nestor Miranda Art Deco and others. I got my first taste of the La Aurora Corojo in the robusto size thanks to Miami Cigar Company and Jose Blanco …

Man O’War Armada

Man O’War Armada

And the Man O’War Series adds another cigar to its stable. The newest addition crafted by AJ Fernandez is the Man O’War Armada. The Armada sports a limited ligero Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro wrapper, ligero filler from the Esteli and Ometepe regions of Nicaragua and to make sure everything burns a viso Jalapa binder. You don’t have to look much further than the latest cigar.com catalog to see the beautiful humidor and eye opening price tag for the Armada.

  • I'm convinced at this point, the 1878 line from @pdrcigars is the 'Best Bang for your Buck' in the PDR portfolio. Some of his more expensive cigars just arent as good as this budget stick.
  • Smoking my first Flores y Rodriguez. The Flores, Id imagine, refers to Abe Flores of Pinar Del Rio.
  • IMO Enclosed Foot = "Sorry Sir, I couldn't be bothered to trip up that tobacco so I just wadded it up for you."
  • Box looks great, although it could have used more dry-time. Has a mild stain smell about it.
  • Got a @StudioTobac Sampler in the mail. Looks good, eager to smoke through them.
  • @LaAuroraCigars 107 Corona and @CAOCigars OSA cutter, together in harmony.
  • Have a bunch of things to wrap. Having a cigar to keep me company.
  • Nomad Cigars and Yuengling - 1
  • Have a busy morning ahead of me. It is such tough work but someone has to do it.
  • It is a little "Partagas Serie D No. 4" looking but I like the idea if small batch cigars from @pdrcigars
  • Nothing says Good Mornin' like an @EPCarrillo Elencos
  • Figures, 9 out of 10 were awesome and my last one has a lousy burn and produces virtually no smoke on the draw.
  • @jcruz @jonathandrew1 Same here and I guess you could call this Stogie Review Studios (North)
