Arturo Fuente Hemingway Untold Story Maduro

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Untold Story Maduro

It’s that time of year again. And I’m not talking about trees, lights, shopping sprees and loosened belts. I’m talking about rare Fuente smoke season, where cigar geeks and Fuente fanatics across the country dash to their nearest B&M to see what presents Santa Carlito left on the shelves. This year, along with the annual supply of Añejos, if you’re lucky, you just might find the Hemingway Untold Story Maduro.

The Untold Story Maduro, sometimes abbreviated “UTS” or “UTSM”, like …

New Havana Cigars (NHC) Surrogates

New Havana Cigars (NHC) Surrogates

The inspiration behind the Surrogates, a new line offered exclusively by New Havana Cigars, was to create a special smoke that would be available on a consistent basis, as opposed to a limited edition that you might fall in love with, but which you’ll never be able to get your hands on again. A full-bodied cigar, the Surrogates comes in two vitolas: a 5.25×54 parejo and a 5.25×52 belicoso, though the blend is the same in both. Very …

Today I have for you the Xen from Nish Patel in the robusto (5×50) size.

I am going to let the video do the talking this week because I just deleted my whole write up and with doctor appointment times coming up fast I do not have the time to retype everything right now.

Basically this cigar is a …

Camacho Negro (Humidor Diving)

Camacho Negro (Humidor Diving)

Over the past couple of weeks I have been telling myself that I need to finally get around to reviewing the Santos De Miami that Brad May was kind enough to send me a while back. Earlier this week I set that cigar aside and made plans to smoke it for todays review.

As it turns out, Brian snaked the review from Jerry, who would of in turn snaked it from me. Over the past five years, I don’t think …

Jameson Santos De Miami Haven

Jameson Santos De Miami Haven

The Santos De Miami by Jameson Cigar Company is a smoke I’ve been looking forward to trying ever since I saw it on display at IPCPR. It’s a sharp looking stick, and I’ve been determined to discover if it’s beauty is just skin deep or if it extends down to the filler. Not long ago, I was moments away from pulling the trigger on a box of them, only to be distracted and forget to finalize the transaction. Then out …

Draig K by Emilio Cigars

Draig K by Emilio Cigars

Gary Griffith wears many hats. He manages a large chain of B&M cigar shops across Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, he’s the developer of the Emilio Cigars brand, and he’s also an avid genealogist. To celebrate his Welsh heritage, Gary decided to create an annual series of limited releases centered around the national symbol of Wales. Enter: Casa del Dragón. First up in the Casa series is the Draig K; “draig” being Welsh for “dragon” and “K” in …

Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-780A Full Review

Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-780A Full Review

Well here it is, my full review of the Rabbit Air MinusA2 SPA-780A air purifier with the odor filter used for the special filter you can choose.

This has taken a bit to get done because the wrong filter was included at first, which I never noticed till a month later and I was hoping to have it long enough to see when the filters would need changed with the amount of cigar smoking I do. Sadly I figured i …

As always, Ed and I have returned to Stogie Review for our guest spot. How long have we been doing this? I’ll have to look into it. Anyway… In this episode we are covering the Quesada Oktoberfest. This is a yearly release that is in celebration of one of the most famous festivals in the world. It is said that this cigar is intended to be paired with your favorite Oktoberfest beer. …

Tortuga Edicion Limitada 2011

Tortuga Edicion Limitada 2011

The Tortuga Cigars brand isn’t a household name…to me. Until a couple weeks ago I never heard of it and if it wasn’t for George Brightman of W.Curtis Draper I would’ve ignored it on the shelf of their Bethesda MD location. As typical with my generation of cigar smoker, you walk into your shop and ask “so, whats new?” Needless to say when George said “Tortuga” my facial response was “what the fuck is a Tortuga”. I had a similar …

  • I'm convinced at this point, the 1878 line from @pdrcigars is the 'Best Bang for your Buck' in the PDR portfolio. Some of his more expensive cigars just arent as good as this budget stick.
  • Smoking my first Flores y Rodriguez. The Flores, Id imagine, refers to Abe Flores of Pinar Del Rio.
  • IMO Enclosed Foot = "Sorry Sir, I couldn't be bothered to trip up that tobacco so I just wadded it up for you."
  • Box looks great, although it could have used more dry-time. Has a mild stain smell about it.
  • Got a @StudioTobac Sampler in the mail. Looks good, eager to smoke through them.
  • @LaAuroraCigars 107 Corona and @CAOCigars OSA cutter, together in harmony.
  • Have a bunch of things to wrap. Having a cigar to keep me company.
  • Nomad Cigars and Yuengling - 1
  • Have a busy morning ahead of me. It is such tough work but someone has to do it.
  • It is a little "Partagas Serie D No. 4" looking but I like the idea if small batch cigars from @pdrcigars
  • Nothing says Good Mornin' like an @EPCarrillo Elencos
  • Figures, 9 out of 10 were awesome and my last one has a lousy burn and produces virtually no smoke on the draw.
  • @jcruz @jonathandrew1 Same here and I guess you could call this Stogie Review Studios (North)
