IPCPR 2018: Gurkha
We dropped by the Gurkha booth again this year, and Carlos Llaca Torano took us on a tour of the latest cigars. We started with the Ghost Gold extension to the popular Ghost line. It sports and Ecuadorian Habano Rosado wrapper and has a pigtail and closed foot. Next we look at the Marquesa, which is an older property of Gurkha that has a more traditional Cuban vibe. Of course it isn’t completely traditional, the 20-count box is half round, half box-pressed. Then there’s very limited Chateau de Prive in the ornate boxes you expect from Gurkha. They are also bringing back their coffee, vanilla, and cherry flavored cigar lines.
