If you’ve been following my activity on Stogie Review over the years, you know I have a weakness for anything interesting, unsual and/or innovative. And at this year’s IPCPR trade show, I found something that is all three- the Double Shot Energy Cigar. It’s billed as the cigar equivalent of an energy drink like Red Bull. Does it work? Roberto Lopez assures me that the food grade ingredients in the cigar like caffeine and taurine will give you an energy boost. At the time of this writing I haven’t tried it, but I plan to soon. Now this is slightly odd…I would never imagine smoking an energy drink! Roberto seems like a very nice guy and if he says it works it must work (and smoking caffeine, taurine and other ingredients in a Monster Energy should be fine, right?).
