Davidoff Winston Churchill Churchill

When Davidoff released this new version of the Davidoff Winston Churchill cigar line, I knew a few people that were wondering what to expect from this release.  The first version of the Winston Churchill line wasn’t really well received with most cigar smokers because they were pretty expensive and were pretty mild in body and flavor.  This new version is a total rebranding and reblending that I was personally excited to see.  The new blend has a new wrapper, binder and uses Nicaraguan tobacco.  Here is the new blend information:

Piloto Mejorado Seco (Dominican Republic)

Piloto Seco (Dominican Republic)

Hybrid Olor/Piloto Seco (Dominican Republic)

Esteli Seco (Nicaragua)

Condegas Seco (Nicaragua)

Negro San Andres (Mexico)

Ecuador Rojiza (Ecuador)

This new version is amazing.  The cigar has much more body and flavor over the first version.  The cigar has notes of leather, cedar, pepper, sweet cream and roasted nuts with a hint of saltiness in the beginning.  The burn and construction was, as expected, impeccable.  The cigars are priced around the same price point as the Davidoff Nicaragua as this churchill cost around $17.00.  This cigar has become one of my favorite cigars in the Davidoff line up.  This is not a typical cigar for Davidoff, even though there is that Davidoff touch, that I think people that like more full bodied cigars will really appreciate it.  If you like the the Davidoff Nicaragua, you will really like these.  Check them out.  You will not be disappointed.
