Punch Rare Corojo Cigar Review - 1

Before we get into the review, I want to point out that this video is slightly dated. A couple of weeks ago I was preparing to move to my new home. Not wanting to miss a week, I recorded a review of the Punch Rare Corojo the night before my big move.

On the day of the move, I grabbed the SD Card out of my camera and planned on editing and posting later that week. When it came time to do that, I popped in the SD card and discovered that in my haste, I neglected to transfer the video off of the cameras internal hard drive.

I wasn’t able to get up to my old house (where I still have some stuff stored – including my camcorder) so the review wasn’t posted on time. The following week didn’t work out and here we are, a couple of weeks late….

In any case, I stopped into a local shop for some much needed butane and discovered a box of Punch Rare Corojo tucked away on one of the shelves. I decided to pick one up to smoke while running errands and just didn’t get around to it right then. Instead, I smoked it when I returned home and used the cigar for a video review.

The short and sweet of it is that I was very impressed with the modestly priced Rare Corojo. It smoked a bit faster than expected but delivered solid flavors of earth, wood, and spice.

  1. I have a soft spot for Punch but I found the Rare Corojo disappointing. Very bland, very little flavor. Granted, it was humid out when I had one recently and it was the Champion size not the size you had.

  2. Johnny,
I used to like the Punch Champion (the regular one) and didn’t realize that format was available in the Rare Corojo. It sounds like it mat not suit the blend well but I’ll have to keep an eye out for it.

    Thanks for the comment.

  3. I love the Rare Corojo’s and the Gran Puro’s. Just solid cigars, time and again. Not the most complex, but honestly, sometimes that just doesn’t matter!
