Diesel Crucible Cigar Review Image

Over the last few weeks we have been taking a closer look at the Diesel Line of cigars from AJ Fernandez and Cigars International. First we smoked the Diesel Unholy Cocktail, then we followed that up with the Diesel Grind. This week we take a look at the Diesel Crucible.

As I mentioned in previous Diesel Reviews, these cigars were purchased from the Cigars International Superstore in Hamburg, PA. As I walked through the store, picking up Diesel Cigars to review, I didn’t pay much attention to price. I mean, how expensive could this CI House Blend be? I was hit with some serious sticker shock when this cigar was scanned (it was the first of many cigars to be scanned that day) and my heart skipped a beat when I saw $12 flash across the display.

Immediately, the Diesel Crucible was entered into a category with some very stiff competition. Could this cigar compete with the likes of the Oliva Serie V Melanio or the Ashton VSG? Perhaps the most important question, is it worth $12.00? To find out what I think, you’ll just have to watch the video below.

  1. Great review Walt, to be honest I stray away from Diesel cigars, I have only had one or two in my day something about them just never really caught my eye. You tossed me one on Saturday so I’ll give that a shot this weekend maybe and see how I like it. Great review.

  2. Twelve bucks for Diesel? CI and AJ are not going to make many friends in the long-haul trucker community.

I’ve tried a few Diesel cigars and thought they were rather ho-hum.

    Thanks for the review, Walt.
