Jesus Fuego of J. Fuego Cigars (IPCPR 2012)

Jesus Fuego Edicion de Familia

Both Brian and I are big fans of Jesus Fuego and his various cigars. As a result, we always enjoy talking shop with Jesus and look forward to his new cigars. This year we learned that the show was special for him because his father (grower of Brazilian tobaccos used in J. Fuego product) as well as many of the other factory workers were in attendance.

Jesus walked us through his new product which includes the Origen Maduro (which also comes in the Originals size AKA the Soft Pack) and new Minuto offerings in the 777 Corojo and Zero. Before closing out the interview, Jesus discussed the upcoming Edicion de Familia which was not shown at the show (limited edition cigar which has already been sold out).

  1. Sweet interview! I’ve become more of a JF fan over the last year, particularly the Originals size (though the Origen Lancero is the best!!).

I think it’s so great that they are moving towards the smaller and thinner cigars. Not only is it a good marketing move (try to dominate a nitche that others are not focusing on), but I personally far prefer thinner ring cigars than the fatties that everyone else is putting out lately (with a few exceptions, like the Four Kicks Sublime).

  2. J. Fuego makes great cigars and I appreciate that he is making cigars at price points that I can afford and enjoy on a regular basis. He’s a working man’s cigar maker… I love the originals and the Zero.
