IPCPR 2011: Casa Fernandez

For us here at Stogie Review it was a lot of firsts for this year’s IPCPR. A lot of manufacturers who we’ve never interviewed before stepped up and welcomed us into their booths. One of the first timers is the trio of Paul Palmer, Eduardo Fernandez and Arsenio Ramos (later in the video) of Casa Fernandez. It was great to hear some of the interesting details about Casa Fernandez and what Arganosa really is.

My Father Cigars

In my Sneak Peek: My Father Cigars video I showed you two wrappers of the new Jaime Garcia Limited Edition 2011. That video wasn’t entirely true and if I read the Press Release that Jose Ortega had sent me I would’ve been able to explain it more accurately in that video. Don’t worry, what better way to get information than from the source. Jose Ortega takes a few minutes to show Brian Hewitt all the new offerings from My Father …

Jamming with Jameson Cigars

We have a special relationship with our friend Brad Mayo of Jameson Cigars. His first IPCPR was also our first IPCPR and like every year, we take a few minutes to get together and see what is new and what he is working on. Brad is one of my favorite people to hangout with at the show. He has a young family like many of us and we can relate on so many levels.

We were able to catch up with Andre from a few minutes while there was a small break during an otherwise crowded first two days. Thanksgiving blend? Candy Canes? Find out what Andre has up his sleeve in …

IPCPR 2011: Day 2 Digest

IPCPR 2011: Day 2 Digest

As you may have noticed, Stogie Review coverage of IPCPR 2011 seems a little slow today. It may seem that way on the surface, but let me assure you that Jerry and Brian have been hard at work filming interviews and trotting about the convention center.

While yesterdays focus was on quick videos to let our fans see the convention center through the eyes of our lens, today was all about quality video footage. Those videos will be posted in …

Hanging with Willy Herrera

Willy Herrera was kind enough to take a break from the hectic Drew Estate booth to tell us what he’s up to these days.

Stogie Stein

One of the interesting things Brian and I discovered on the show floor was the Stogie Stein ashtray. We thought it was pretty unique…what do you think?
