Week In Smoke – Cigarfest 2011 Edition

Week In Smoke – Cigarfest 2011 Edition

Earlier this week I mapped out all of our Cigarfest 2011 coverage. Today there was supposed to be a video post of Mike and I discussing our Friday activities. Unfortunately, I was feeling rather lousy last night. After a couple of Nyquil Cocktails, I was down for the count. That brings us to the here and now, Friday morning as I scramble to come up with a post before getting my work day started.

The simplest post was a …

Cigarfest 2011: Man O War Event

Cigarfest 2011: Man O War Event

On Friday, Mike and I took a ride over to Split Rock to check out the Man O War Event. Over the past couple of years, Cigarfest has kicked off with a Man O War event on the day before the main attraction. Aside from plenty of items for sale, the event comes with free beer (while supplies last) and a smoke friendly environment to hang out with friends.

J. Fuego Casa Fuego Corona

J. Fuego Casa Fuego Corona

This past week I was digging through the humidor looking for a cigar to review when I came across a five pack of these Casa Fuego Coronas. In the lead up to the video review, he mentioned Jesus Fuego …

Cigarfest 2011: Thursday Wrapup

After the Studio Tobac Tour Event at Atlantic Cigar, Mike and I hit the road and made our way back to the hotel. After filling our stomachs with a late dinner, we sat down and turned on the camera. We discussed the happenings of the day and outlined a little of what we had on tap for the following day.

Cigarfest 2011: Studio Tobac Tour at Atlantic Cigar

Cigarfest 2011: Studio Tobac Tour at Atlantic Cigar

On Thursday, Mike and I left the comfort of Jason’s home and took a drive over to Atlantic Cigar for a Studio Tobac Tour Event. While there, we got the chance to see Bryan “The Show” Scholle in action. As it turns out, Bryan is going above and beyond what was being done in the past, where only wrappers were applied, and is making blends, bunching, binding, and wrapping, all at the event.

The video below only shows Bryan …

Cigarfest 2011: The Arrival

Cigarfest 2011: The Arrival

Several weeks ago Mike and I were discussing how we wanted to do Cigarfest coverage this year. We weren’t sure when to arrive because the actual event wasn’t until Saturday, but the area had a few things going on.

We decided to make the drive out on Thursday to attend the Studio Tobac Tour Event held at Atlantic Cigar in Stroudsburg. Before that, we spent some time visiting with one of the nicest cigar smokers I’ve ever met, Jason.
