Hello everyone. I am going to do something unique this week and do a vertical tasting that is spread out through the weekend. I have the Savoy cigars in Corona (5.5 x 44), Churchill (7 x 48) and Robusto (5 x 50) that I will smoke and update this post. I am hoping to smoke one each day this weekend and then this …
Stealing this idea from our own Brian “Mouth of the South” Hewitt. We get so many questions about what cigars we smoke when we aren’t reviewing. So this is a brief summary of the cigars I’ve smoked in the past week (give or take a few days). Some of these smokes have been reviewed before or at some point we plan on reviewing.…
Several weeks ago I received a text message from a good friend of Stogie Review, Abe Flores of Pinar Del Rio. Abe was contacting me to get ahold of my adress so that he could send me a couple of new cigars to try. Always looking forward to new Pinar Del Rio product, I graciously accepted and had a small package land on my doorstep a few days later.
Inside the package was seven cigars and a note explaining …
Its great to be back to reviewing cigars and for my first review of 2011 I’m reviewing the relatively new La Aurora Broadway Series. Currently the Broadway is available in one size, a Sumo Toro (5.75 x 54) and features a double wrapper of Ecuadorian-grown, Sumatra-seed and Nicaraguan leaves, a Dominican Corojo binder and filler tobaccos grown in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Peru. The La Aurora Broadway Series is only available from tobacconists in New York for $12.75 …

I am back once again, this time I have for you a limited release cigar, the Gran Habano Gran Reserva #3 in the Gran Robusto size. That’s a lot of Gran’s.
This cigar is being released in three sizes, Gran Robusto (6 x 54), Churchill (7 x 50), and a Pyramid (6 1/8 x 52).
As for the limited availability, there are 1200 …
A.J. Fernandez’s San Lotano is a line of cigars that has been a long time coming. I was introduced to it in its pre-release form at the 2009 trade show. But you could also say the San Lotano is a long time returning. Because once upon a time, in the sepia-toned pre-Castro past, Fernandez’s grandfather produced a popular Cuban cigar by the same name, so the press release tells us:
With a rich history, San Lotano dates back to

It’s been awhile, but Ed and I are back home on the Stogie Review. Where were we? Well, Ed has been busy moving his shop into a new lot, expanding his inventory, and building a cigar lounge. Some of you already know that I’ve been over on my own site slacking off. Ed and I figured it would only be fitting mark our return and do a joint review with …
Today I have for you a review of the Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend in the Robusto Grande size. I did this as a short review since Walt reviewed this same cigar back in 2007 and I wanted to see if I would get the same things as he did and to see if there were any changes in the cigar since almost 4 years ago.
I hope you enjoy the video and it may go better with a glass of …
Sometime last week I was sorting through press releases when one caught my eye from Torano Cigars. The email talked about an upcoming Single Region Tour which featured the Torano Single Region and a coffee roaster with a very similar background, PT’s Coffee Roasting Co. The objective of the event is to showcase two products that are grown on small allotments of land.
While I do not have any experience with PT’s Coffee Roasting, I am a …
While the east coast was greeted by its second snow storm in less than a month, I sat warmly in my office working away. I decided to take advantage of my ability to work from home and opted not to venture out onto the snowy streets. My wife had the same thought cross her mind and called out of work. Presented with the rare scenario to work from home while my wife tended to our daughter meant that my day …
