This will be a short and sweet writeup, since I hate writing and I am not very good at it. My last name is not Hewitt nor is it White, so you will have to bear with me. If you would like to check out Walt and Jerry’s take on this cigar just follow this link to the wayback machine.…
All of us here at The Stogie Review want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving…you stay classy San Diego.

One thing I’ve noticed over the years is how quickly a conversation in a cigar shop can turn into an in-depth discussion of firearms. I’m sure the number of cigar smokers who are packing heat varies considerably from one area to the next, but I’d guess it’s pretty significant percentage overall. And it would seem Rocky Patel thinks so too, because he recently released a cigar exclusively for the National Rifle Association (or NRA), called “Valedor”.
I don’t have many …
And the Man O’War Series adds another cigar to its stable. The newest addition crafted by AJ Fernandez is the Man O’War Armada. The Armada sports a limited ligero Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro wrapper, ligero filler from the Esteli and Ometepe regions of Nicaragua and to make sure everything burns a viso Jalapa binder. You don’t have to look much further than the latest cigar.com catalog to see the beautiful humidor and eye opening price tag for the Armada.

While I was attending Atlanta’s largest annual party and herf at Tobacco World in Marietta this weekend, I had the opportunity to speak with Pete Johnson about what’s new with Tatuaje. Now I know how much Stogie Review “readers” love the videos, but unfortunately my elaborate camera equipment (i.e. a flip cam and a tiny tripod) seem to have left town early for the upcoming holiday. So this Tatuaje take is all text. (Think of it as a minimalist foreign …
Ernesto Padilla is always full of surprises. Out of the blue he contacted me recently to talk about cigar reviews and mentioned in passing some new cigars he has been working on lately. When I asked for pictures and more information, he was only too happy to make with the goods. Here’s the latest on those new smokes.
The Padilla Artemis
The new Artemis cigar is going to be a pretty limited release, available exclusively at fifty brick and mortar …

Here we are once again, this time with a review of the Casa de Garcia, a budget stick. These are available in five sizes and three wrapper choices, which I go over in the video.
You should be able to get these sticks for about $1 a piece, $1.50 at the most. Most of them tend to be constructed decent but you …
Over the past few weeks, there’s been a cigar review we’ve all been expecting to see here on Stogie Review that just hasn’t arrived. I was so certain that Jerry, the resident Tatuaje cigar correspondent and fanboi, would be all over the latest edition of the Monster Series, I didn’t make any attempt to beat him to the review. Heck, I didn’t even get my hands on The Face until at least a week after Halloween. (A special thanks to …
It’s been sometime since we’ve visited the Perdomo Lot 23. With two new sizes (Gordito and Punta Gorda) being released at IPCPR this year, I figured it was time to revisit the blend but in the new Gordito size.
Video review runs around 8 minutes. The bad news is I’m not a fan of big ring gauge cigars. Maybe 2 or 3 years ago the Perdomo Lot 23 Gordito size would’ve been exciting but the size just doesn’t work …

Hello once again my cigar brothers. I have for you this week, the Victor Sinclair Legacy Double Maduro Torpedo. I have found these cigars in four sizes, although Victor Sinclair’s website only lists three sizes. These cigars come in a Churchill (6 7/8 x 48), Robusto Grande (5 1/2 x 50), …
