Today I have for you a joint review I did with Mike over at mikesstogies.com .
I will warn you, the video is pretty bad as we did this through Skype and for some reason the recording software did not record my local stream at the same quality as Mike’s. I also do not know where all the artifacts came from in conversion but hopefully you will still enjoy the video.
If anyone has any recommendations on a good video …

I am going to review a cigar that has not been done for a couple years here on Stogie Review and that is the Don Pepin Garcia Series JJ belicoso size. Jerry did a previous review of this exact cigar I am smoking today for #JJ4JJ day.
The Series JJ comes in 4 sizes for the natural and 3 for the maduro. …
July 22nd is the 3rd Annual Smoke a JJ for JJ Day. It is in celebration of my Little Robusto, my son JJ, who as many of you know, passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) while at daycare when he was 3.5 months old. This July 22nd would’ve been his 3rd birthday. The DPG Series JJ was the first cigar I smoked after his birth and holds a truly special place in my heart.
The event is simple,

IPCPR is a little less than three weeks away, and the preparations for the upcoming Twitter BOTL Cocktail Hour have got me thinking more an more about New Orleans. In the moments not taken up by my day job, and moonlighting as a cigar reviewer, I’ve been remembering the last year’s little after-show adventures and daydreaming about upcoming shenanigans. Also, the char-grilled oysters. With all this in mind, it seems the right time to review the Tres Hermanos cigars I …
There I was at CAO Headquarters in Nashville TN. Looking around I saw more professional media covering the event. Of course you’ve seen that Cigar Dave was broadcasting live from the show. There was also Thor from Cigar Press magazine, the guys from Sucker Punch Sallys filming and I’m pretty sure someone from Cigar Aficionado was present. In a few days I’ll post video of the actual event but with such stiff competition I decided to take my coverage in …
I’m going to be honest here. I really didn’t do much work for this video. Credit has to be given to Cigar Dave. During the CAO Lady Liberty Giveaway, Cigar Dave was broadcasting live from CAO Headquarters. I’m sure I could’ve gotten more own personal tour but why reinvent the wheel? Lets kill two birds with one stone. With no objections from CAO or Cigar Dave, I followed The General into the CAO Escaparate for a quick tour and …
Hello fellow cigar smokers. This week I have something very different for you. I am going to do a short blurb on each of the Xikar HC 6×60 size cigars. I was sent one of each of these cigars right after Cigar Expo to give a try and with only having one of each, I figured this would be a good way to take a look at them.
Now for the funny story of how there is no video because …
Over the past three years, Stogie Review has been fortunate enough to attend the annual IPCPR trade show. Each year there seems to be a trickle of news that makes its way around the industry while most companies remained tight-lipped. This year is no different, except that the trickle of news is much more potent. During a conversation with the Torano Family Cigar Company, in regards to our Second Annual Twitter Brothers of the Leaf Cocktail Hour, we learned …
This week, just about every cigar smoker with a blog is in a mad dash to get a review of the soon to be released Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary cigar posted. But for my money, the most exciting thing in the World of Rocky Patel these days is the quiet re-release of the very popular Edge Sumatra. That’s right, the Edge Sumatra is back, and all because fans of the stick kept asking for it. Kudos to Rocky for giving …
Note From Tom:
Ed and I are back and reviewing a cigar from a boutique cigar company called Augusto Reyes. The Signature is a nice medium to full bodied cigar that I never heard of until a couple of weeks ago. This cigar has a flavor profile with nice complexities and subtle nuances that are easy to miss.
The last segment of the video may seemed rushed, but I think we did the cigar justice. There were a few customers
