Reviewing cigars is not a hobby with a certain element of danger. This week, in an attempt to get the scoop (or at least beat Jerry to it) I’m putting tens of dollars on the line and risking a possible nicotine knockout by what has already called by some “The Green Monster.” I’m not naming names, but the green-banded Goliath that is the Zino Platinum Emperor 2010 is rumored to have already put at least one veteran cigar smoker out …
Welcome to the Women of Cigar Expo 2010 Some of them are a little dark due to the light shining in from outside the tent and i had no way to adjust it on my little camera.
I hope you enjoy the picture show as I will be posting videos coming Thursday probably with a show wrapup video and text on Saturday.
Until the full wrapup, I can tell you this. I had a great time!
The women of Cigar …
Here are some pictures that I just randomly took while at Cigar Expo 2010.

Look for a full wrapup probably Saturday and the videos I have recorded on Thursday.
I hope you enjoy the Women of Cigar Expo pictures as well!

“I’m the happiest man in the world” are the first words from Bill Paley as he takes a moment to address the crowd of 200 guests invited to the La Palina Cigars launch event in Washington DC. Luckily enough, I was one of those 200 guests.
Video runs about 8 minutes as Bill (I think we’re on a first name basis these days right Bill?) talks about his passion for cigars, tobacco, his grandfather Sam and in general the journey …
Last year Brian and I were fortunate enough to attend the 2009 Cigar Expo put on by Famous Smoke Shop. We had an absolute blast and I was eagerly awaiting the 2010 Cigar Expo. Unfortunately, neither Brian or I will be able to make it this year. The travel from Georgia to Pennsylvania is a bit much for Brian and I’ll be needing to stick close to home with my almost-ready-to-pop wife.
Even though we have to sit out …
I’ve been meaning to light up a Don Gonzalez cigar for a few months now. It’s one of those lines I don’t see around much, but I keep hearing people mention it in conversation. After being asked for at least the third time if I had tried one, I decided to make the effort to find some. I hopped in the herfmobile and headed a Don Gonzalez event out in the burbs of Atlanta.
Though I met the Pedro Gonzalez, …
Time was really tight this week, so instead of a video review, I decided to do a little Stogie Review update instead. In the video below I talk a little bit about some time off I’ll be taking when the baby arrives. In addition I also talk a little bit about what we have coming up on Stogie Review. Those things include Mike doing Cigar Expo coverage as well as expected IPCPR coverage for the annual trade show in New …
