Contest: Win a Black Label Viceroy Torch. Click for Details.
Bah f’n humbug! While everyone else is focusing on their Top 10 Cigars for 2009, I decided to take the negative approach and be a Debbie Downer. These are my Bottom 10 Cigars for 2009. The cigars in this list were reviewed this year and just didn’t live up to my expectations, or just plain sucked. Or both. These sticks are so bad or so disappointing that they don’t deserve the honor of firing up the Stogie Review Way Back …
You guessed it, another day and another prize to give away for our Second Annual Stogie Review 12 Days of Christmas Contest! With all entries in, Brian Jerry and I will go through them and select a first, second, and third place winner. Those winners will be applied to …

Similar to my reviews of the Rocky Patel Honduran Classic, Rocky Patel Cuban Blend and Rocky Patel Rosado, the Rocky Patel American Market Selection is a Famous Exclusive…meaning you can only get them at Famous Smoke Shop. Again, in the interest of complete transparency I wanted to say that Famous Smoke Shop is an advertiser with The Stogie Review and we’re also good friends on Twitter with @Famous_Hayward. With that disclaimer, let me add that these …
A few weeks back, I was catching up on new posts over at Cigar Clubhouse, when I saw Stephen Boyajian (owner of Cigar Clubhouse) mention a new project that he was working on. The project he mentioned was CigarFriendly.us and it is basically a database of cigar friendly establishments.
Because of how frequently a new cigar site hits the web, I find it difficult to get excited about anything without giving it some time to develop. Over the …
With the first two days of the Second Annual Stogie Review 12 Days of Christmas behind us, we are beginning to to hit our stride. The announcement today, as you may have guessed it, is to congratulate our latest contest winner.
The contest was pretty straight forward, we asked that you send in a cigar review to be featured here on Stogie Review. For their efforts, the winner would earn themselves a box of Room 101 “305” Cigars courtesy of …
This week’s review was an exercise in finding enough of the same cigar to actually do a review. I was starting to get a little worried when I found a forgotten five pack of Casa Torano Maduros I purchased quite a while ago. Long enough ago that the cellophane was starting to yellow a bit. (I’m sure the dark, oily maduro wrapper help speed up that discoloration somewhat, but I’ve definitely had these for a while.)
The Maduro extension of …
With Day 1 of the Second Annual Stogie Review 12 Days of Christmas under our belts, its time to roll out the prize for Day 2. For this prize, we asked that you show us your creative spark and answer a question for us. We wanted to know “If old Saint Nick was a cigar smoker, what cigar would he smoke on his sleigh ride around the world?”. Simply answering the question wouldn’t have been any fun, so we …
