Ahh, what a beautiful smoke!!
I had not realized that i was smoking the Rosados, rather than the Oscuros. I can only wonder about the delights of the larger Oscuro. It took Brian's pic of the Oscuro and the Rosado set side by side to make me realize the difference. My Rosados are less than 54 ring, about 52 as i measured my 70degF/70% barrels.

But i cannot image a more magnificent pleasure. Sitting out in the cool of evening dark tonight, slowly drawing on those beautiful leaves, i was considering myself blessed to have such beauties, as i watched a large raccoon come trotting across the yard. Being a curious creature, he stopped and looked at me, smelling the plumes as i passed them on, and then he trotted off. No doubt, he went looking a smoke of his own.

Like Brian, i too have found a few of these sticks to be tightly rolled. I think i remember 3 difficult draws out of the 30 or so that i have smoked. However, two of the three had worm plugs. The other one was free of worms, and just tightly rolled. Possibly, I had allowed these to get too damp? We have been having considerable rain over October and the unusual humidity got my humidor out of whack for a short time.

Nevertheless, these little happenstances make all the good smokes seem that much more marvelous. Tell me, are the Miranda Robustos this well done? I am going to try them before i use up all of my hard-to-get Rosados.

I agree with MountChuck.
This is a wonderful, well made cigar- no soft spots, no prominent veins, just a beauty with great flavor .
I bought a box while I could, and have smoked a dozen of these and have not had even one single issue of a bad draw or wrapper problems. They are a departure from other Pepin blends which I also enjoy (less pepper and more subtle) but it is a nice change from some of my other favorites.

Nice, thorough review;
but not only do i find this Danno to be a superb smoke, for me it is the perfect draw (i am not delighted by the sticks which present the too swift, frictionless draw).
The third one i tried did allow a worm plug to develope -- not sure why; it was taken from my box at Dallas' City Cigar Store; but the other are beautiful. The wrappers remain firm and well preserved.
All the others -- tonight was my fifth stick -- have been very even and consistent. And if i had the good taste which Brian Hewitt posseses, i feel certain i would agree with all those delicate flavors.

Really, really good cigar. I like this effort from Don Pepin for Nestor Miranda a lot better than his reblend of the NM Special Selection. Good cigar, but not as good as the original NMSS. The 20th Anni though is fantastic.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Yeah, the tighter draw is an annoyance, but in spite of it, the Danno is a pretty good stick. I didn't try it, but I suspect dry-boxing might loosen the draw a bit. Though these cigars weren't over humidified (they'd been sitting in around 65% humidity), drying them out a little further might help. I'm trying this out with some rosados I picked up.
