Quick Question with Alan Rubin (Alec Bradley Cigars)

After my review of the Trilogy Authentic Corojo by Alec Bradley, I was left with one question: Why the change in shape from its original triangle press to the standard round shape?

During Cigar Fest 2009, I got my question answered by Alan Rubin:

  1. So the only reason was to get cigar smokers that only smoke round cigars to try them. Guess that actually makes sense!

Probably what he didnt say is that it also saved a ton of money because they can roll the round faster..??

  2. Some say the box press is a little looser due to the fact that in order to get the press look it must be so. I don’t notice that much of a difference. The RP vintage 90 and Oliva G are just fine.

  3. thanks for getting an answer from the source Jerry. I was kinda curious as to why the change after seeing your review. nice follow up
