Padilla Habano (Burberry Perfecto)

The Padilla Habano has been a favorite cigar for many of you out there and with the new addition of the Burberry Perfecto to the line, I don’t see that changing any time soon. This new Burberry Perfecto line adds more flair to the Padilla Habano’s already highly rated flavor profile and adds a few twists increasing its eye candy value.

Video runs about 12 minutes and I normally frown upon this “style” of cigar (there are a few exceptions …

Cruzado

I know…I know…I know…his name is Dion not Don. For whatever reason my mind was already in vacation mode so I kept saying Don instead of Dion.

Video runs around 12 minutes and while I forget to say it in the video, the Cruzado gets the Great Torpedo Seal of Approval. Not only do I love the name but its medium body but full flavored profile combined with its winning bouquet of aromas makes the Cruzado a cigar that can …

YQMA – The Quickie Test

Well folks, we’re getting closer…while not an “official” YQMA release, I recruited Walt as a guinea pig to try using a combination of software packages to test a split screen version of YQMA.

Walt and I do spend about 16 minutes talking about NUB Cigars, SCHIP and our cigar adventures this summer.

Our hope is that this combination of software will work with three people so we can bring you YQMA in a whole new and easier to edit format. …

Oliva Serie V Liga Especial (Short Ashes)

Back once again, with taste buds that are still a little out of whack from a bout with allergies, I have for you a short video on the Oliva Serie V Liga Especial. This review was recorded outside in my yard (while seated to prevent dizzy spells as caused by my Camacho Coyolar review). Video runs about 12 minutes.

Camacho Coyolar (Short Ashes)

This past week I was sidelined by a blast of allergies, as a result I was unable to get my traditional Friday review done for you. Fortunately, before the allergies kicked in I was able to record a short ashes review of the Camacho Coyolar.

Now that my allergies seem to be lessening, it looks like I’ll be back to reviewing next week. Until then, check out what I thought about this weeks cigar in short ashes format. …

Perdomo Edicion de Silvio Maduro Torpedo

Today’s review is another trip down the Rodeo Drive aisle of the humidor with what has been called the Perdomo family’s crowning tobacco achievement, the Edicion de Silvio. Created with a secret blend of rare cuban-seed tobaccos, this uber premium cigar was produced in Nicaragua to commemorate Nick Perdomo’s late grandfather, Silvio Perdomo who worked for both H. Upmann and Partagas in Cuba. Reportedly the tobaccos for these cigars began their aging process back in 1997 in 50-year old spiced …

Montecristo Open (Guest Review)

Disclaimer: This review was originally published at Cigar Tower after the Habanos Festival in Cuba. This review (text and pictures) is being republished on Stogie Review with the full approval of its creator, Peter Agardi. I want to thank Peter for bringing this to our attention and for filling in for my usual slot as I was away traveling this past weekend and didn’t have time to record two videos this week.

One of the most awaited announcements during this

Rocky Patel Cuban Blend (Maduro)

My review of the Rocky Patel Winter Collection (2009) a few weeks back has renewed my love of Rocky Patel cigars. During this lovefest I discovered that I’ve never reviewed the Rocky Patel Cuban Blend. Similar to the Honduran Classic, the Cuban Blend is a Famous Exclusive…meaning you can only get them at Famous Smoke Shop. In the interest of complete transparency I wanted to say that Famous Smoke Shop is an advertiser with The Stogie Review and we’re …

  • It is always just a little sad to finish off a box of cigars. This box was good to me. Tried to stretch it out so I didn't burn through it too fast.
