Matt - The Cojonu line is a line extension of the Brown Label using a ligero based wrapper and a unique/special size that is released every 3 years. So same blend...just different wrapper, size and only released every 3 years.

Hey, what is the difference between the Conjunu 2006 (with gold band) and the regular Brown Label Tatuaje. Their website doesn't offer much in the way of pictures. I'm having a hell of a time getting a hold of these. I picked one up while I was in D.C. at Drapers (which is a old, famous place)
I've got a sampler of the Havana VI coming Monday. can't wait to try them out.

thanks

No problem doc8466,
According to Vitolas.net (a pretty reliable source of info), the Cojonu 2006 (a.k.a. "ballbuster" or "ballsy") is supposed to be one of the strongest in the line, packing even more of a punch than the 2003. Though to be honest, I've had both and I couldn't tell the difference in the strength department.

I can tell you Jerry just loves the 2003. I think I prefer the 2006, but I'll have to compare and contrast in a smokey manner a bit more to say for sure.

A.J. and Jabba,
I gotta agree with you guys, a $13 cigar really should be a top performer in all departments. Heck, that's a super premium price (in my opinion) so it's not unreasonable to expect it to be top performer in all categories. It is a little discouraging to hear Pete dismiss the burn like that. But I guess this cigar does reflect his focus. It's a tasty cigar, but a bit misbehaved.

i was a bit put off when I saw Pete on the CA video saying he wasn't that concerned with how a cigar burns because you can always just touch it up. If I'm paying $13 plus for a cigar it better burn friggin perfect... maybe it's just me but $13 is a lot of money for a cigar, it better atleast taste good and burn perfectly.

That was spot on - I smoked one last night...
Reminded me of cocoa puffs vs. New leather jacket, but... fat free? The flavors were good but it didn't seem to ever reach it's potential. The burn on mine was fine, the only problem was that it seemed to want to smoke too fast... I had to consciously smoke this slooow.
At 13 per stick I wanted an experience... This felt like more of an appetizer instead of the main course I had hoped for. Less than two hours later, I lit up an Illusione..
