Found the stick fairly well constructed but tasteless. Received it as a gift so it was worth the price.

I've had several of these. I agree with the slight leathery taste and undertones of spice comments. However, the emphasis is slight-for the most part I found very little flavor, bordering on none. Perhaps I had a bad batch, but the wrapper tends to come loose at the cut very quickly. Burn was even, draw was easy. A good dog walker if you can find it at a good price. It won't stop me from sampling other Graycliffs, though.

The Graycliff G2......The Conn. wrapper tasted like grass, the spice tasted sour, it burned like i was outside in the wind instead of my living room recliner. I'm not one who likes or dislikes a stogie based on the price. This cigar did not, in any way, by any stretch of my imagination..... satisfy me. I hope you have better luck and your taste buds don't do what mine did....beg for mercy.

I'm about 1-2/3 done with this smoke. I must admit, not a prize winner, but great quality at an affordable price(recession)! I got a 5 pck on cigarbid for 11$- the smoke eventually loses the pepper flavor, and reminds me of the park avenue by Gurkha. Taste alot like any other Connecticut. Suprisingly the burn was pretty even for me And corrected itself. Strong ash, very creamy and leathery. I recommend this stogie to anyone that wants a graycliff at a good price. This is my excuse for buying these! ;)

Funny you mention the band- I also found it not so appealing when I first laid eyes on it. The other vitolas in the Graycliff line have a fancy foil label and makes the G2 look like a looser.

FWIW my favorite Graycliff is the Professionale PG- the blue one.

Just read over the review, nice job Weak_link! Sounds like a good cigar! The only thing that looks wierd about it is the bright yellow band, kinda odd, but I like how they designed the letter "G".
