Perdomo Fresco

Welcome back for yet another Monday Cigar review here at Stogie Review. Moving right along with the theme of bargain level cigars for the upcoming Christmas budget crunch I have the Perdomo Fresco. This cigar sports a Connecticut Shade Grown Wrapper, and Nicaraguan Binder and Fillers from the Jalapa Valley. This particular stick measures in at 5.00 inches long with a 50 Ring Gauge.

During my pre light inspection I found the wrapper to be nice and smooth with a…

MQYA Reminder for episode 22

We will be recording YQMA early next week so I wanted to give everyone a quick reminder that those participating in the voice mail answer for next weeks show will be entered to win a couple of cigars from Arganese Cigars.

The short version of the question was
If you were sitting with a cigar manufacturer/family of your choice and were told “hey I’m gonna make your cigar and market it world wide. What do you want

Camacho Corojo

I originally planned to do a video review of this but its been raining the past few days here in MD, so I’m falling back to doing a episode of The Stogie Voice. In this episode of The Stogie Voice I bring you the Camacho Corojo 07/05.

Illusione ~68~ Bombone

It’s been a good year for my cigar collection, and a good year for road trips. It seems like everyone was climbing into their chariot of choice and driving really long distances, well, just for the heck of it. One such trip is the reason I’m bringing this review to you today. A fine BOTL by the name of Mark (a.k.a. “Shelby07″ on the CigarLive forum) hopped in his sweet Shelby Mustang in Colorado back in September and drove to…

Special Session for MD House (Tobacco Tax)

A Special Session of The Maryland General Assembly has been called to discuss proposed tax increases including the proposed tobacco tax. This will add an additional $1, making the total tax on a pack of cigarettes to $2. The price to cigar smokers will be an additional 25%. And where does the money go? Health Insurance for kids…now I’m not against the idea of health care for kids but if its so important why not tax more than just tobacco?…

Havana Sunrise

Welcome back to yet another Monday Review here at Stogie Review. As I mentioned in the last video it is getting to about that time of year when our wallets begin to groan as we set our “Almost Christmas” routine into motion. Just as I did last year, the idea here is to review cigars that cost less than $3.00 on the B&M Level and less than $3.00 (including shipping) at the online level. Wit that said, lets get…

Episode 21 (Segment 1) – Your Questions, My Answers

One of the comments I received when I asked for feedback on how we could make The Stogie Review better was to offer YQMA in segmented clips so its easier for folks to pickup where they left off. That sounded reasonable like a reasonable request.

Walt and I are back for Episode 21 of Your Questions, My Answers. In the first segment of Episode 21, Walt and I discuss the following:

* The biggest issue(s) facing cigar smokers and the…

Bolivar Cofradia

Thanks to my buddy from up north, Jabba, for kicking my butt in gear and telling me to do a video. We all need that occassional reminder from our friends to get back to what pays the bills around here (well if we made any money that is). So I’m back with a video review of an old stand by of mine, the Bolivar Cofradia.
