Great review and it inspired me to buy a box of the coronas, which I do not regret at all, although I am setting aside some coin for a box of toros (I bought five sticks last month, which I greatly enjoyed). One gentle correction; you mention "this is the Toro sized, Joya De Nicaragua Celebracion weighing in at six inches long with a fifty inch ring gauge" -- that would mean that your cigar was half a foot long by better than four feet in diameter! Cigar ring gauges measure in 64ths of an inch, not inches. And generally if you just say "50 ring" or "50 ring gauge," everyone will know what size you mean.

I recently had the pleasure of smoking the Celebracion - a gift from a friend from CigarWorld.com (thanks again, BrownDog!).

I wrote up a lengthy review (http://www.toastedfoot.com/2010/08/cigar-review-joya-de-nicaragua-celebracion/)

but in short - I liked it! It was a complex, interesting cigar, without being over-poweringly strong.

Enjoy!

[...] When my shopping trip was complete, I jumped back on twitter to tell my story and asked for suggestions on what type of wine to try first. It was suggested that I kick off the night with the Yellowtail Shiraz. My next task was to select a cigar to pair with it. I gave it some thought and decided to go with a Joya de Nicaragua Celebracion. [...]

Jerry,

I recently came into contact of two of these cigars via a purchase from a fellow brother of the leaf.

After the review, I really looked forward to smoking them. I smoked the first one a week or two ago and really enjoyed it. I'm smoking my second and last one as I type. I really have to get myself a box of these.

Just sitting outside smoking my Celebacion Toro when I found your review through a web search on my laptop. I am two thirds through and have only knocked off the ash once. It has a nice slow burn and I like the smoke it produces. The flavor has been great throughout and improved as it goes. I tried this after reading about it in cigar afficionado and am glad I did. Thanks for your video review. It added a lot to the review. Keep em coming!
