Tried a couple of those Opus X cigars. Experienced the same problem: keeping them lit. Tastewise: overrated cigar imho, prefer a Cuban anytime, but hey, who am I.

Great review though! I’ve only had one in my life and wasn’t that impressed but does that stop me from hurrying down to my B&M when they get them in stock on holidays? Of course not…

Happy Birthday Walt! (a bit late, of course.) I haven’t tried the Opus X yet, but your review seems in line with most of the others I’ve read — it’s a great cigar, but perhaps not as great as all the hype would suggest. I have a couple stewing in the humidor, and your review just makes me more anxious to try one. Many happy returns!
