Indian Tabac – Super Fuerte

Tonight i decided to break into the sampler i bought a few weeks back. I decided on the Indian Tabac – Super Fuerte. The cigar just looks intimidating. The wrapper is really dark and rich. The cigar felt nice and firm and had a great square press that just seemed to fit perfectly in my mouth.

Right away the flavor just comes at you. I lit this cigar and was amazed at the burst of flavor i got out…

H. Upmann – Vintage Cameroon

I picked up a H.Upmann – Vintage Cameroon, last week on my way home from work. I wanted to let it age a little before smoking but i just couldnt resist.

I was over a friends house last night I decided to fire it up. It looked like a typical H. Upmann cigar. The wrapper was a nice sheen but very soft. It punched great and burned very well. I wasn’t in a position to takes notes as we…

Cigar Purchases: Cigars from the Philippines

It took a combined 70 hours of traveling door-to-door and back to get them but my trip to the Philippines was a fruitful one. It was wonderful to go home and enjoy a slower, more relaxed pace of life in a place where the US dollar is strong and cost of living cheap. Here is the bounty I have brought home from the Philippines. All together I spent around $300 US on 300 cigars. Thank God I had no problems…

Last night I decided that I was going to smoke one of the La Vieja Habana – Fumas given to me by TechX.

This was the Belicoso D size, which is a torpedo. The first thing I noticed was that the band was moving free on the cigar. I refer this because it means I do not have to worry about…

Romeo y Julieta – Reserve Maduro

As I posted the other day, I wanted to get a review up for a Romeo y Julieta ? Reserve Maduro. I had a chance to smoke two over the past two days.

The first RyJ I smoke was one that was given to me recently by a friend. It was purchased last week so it had no age to it that I knew of. This cigar did not disappoint. It was mild but smooth…

Coolidor up and running.

I’ve recently posted in regards to the samplers I ordered over the weekend. My cigars arrived last night and I needed a place to put them. I had 45 sticks delivered and I was tight on space. After some reading I decided to make a coolidor. I’m happy to say its working great and I have a ton of space for future cigars.

What I did was take an old coleman cooler (11″ W x 11″ L x 18″ D)…

Off to the Philippines

Well I’m off for the next two weeks.  Going home to the Philippines.  I really hope to check out the cigar scene and pick up some locally grown cigars to bring back and smoke.  The history of the Philippines is so rich in Spanish lore.  Ferdinand Magellan brought tobacco seeds from Cuba when he “discovered” the Philippines.  The local people also killed Magellan but lets hope its not because he brought bad seeds to them.

While I’m gone, my good…
